Guess what...

We're having another baby!

We are so excited about this blessing from the Lord. I am 6 weeks along, due in October. I am feeling alright, sore from arthritis and a bit neauseous. But most of all we are just praising God for this coming baby! I am already having some weird cravings such as cottage cheese, canned pears, and yams. Weird huh. The other day I was craving cottage cheese while grocery shopping so I bought some and opened it right when I got home. Well, one bite and I was done. Yuck. Now I don't think I will be able to have it ever again :) I don't remember any cravings with Jenna except for Bryers Vanilla Ice Cream. But what pregnant woman doesn't crave a good bowl of ice cream!

Well, that's our news. Love you all!

The Drums...

Amazing to play, hard to share.

Happy Birthday Jackson!

It was a wonderful, crazy, loud, fun party. I would guess there were 30 people there, half of which were kids between the ages of 3 months to 7 years old. Here was the big gift, a bounce house from Jackson's parents. It was a hit, and a great thing to have at a party with so many kids and so much sugar!

Here's Jackson with his presents. I am glad I took this one early because when he was actually opening the gifts the kids were practically climbing on him to see what he got, and to show him what they bought for him (and to ask if they could go play with it now that it was out of the wrapping paper!)

Here is Jackson opening the presents for the crowds. It was a mob. I can't tell you how many times the kids were told, "sit on your bottoms...scoot three big scoots away from the presents...let's let Jackson open it."

Jackson, is that a finger I see in the frosting?! I think the kids enjoyed the cake.

Yes, they did. Here they are chowing down on the floor. What a mess!

The favorite gift of the day was a drumset from Ryan's parents. Well, the kids liked it. After a while the parents were going a little crosseyed from the noise! Happy Birthday Jackson!

Great Verse

Eric set my page up with a "verse of the day" and today's was rather encouraging to me so I wanted to post it, knowing that tomorrow the verse of the day will change.

"The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him." (Nahum 1:7)

Lots to talk about but for now here are a few pictures of Jenna. More updates to come after the weekend. Jackson turns three on Sunday so I am sure there will be some fun pictures and stories to share! Sorry I haven't been as good at updating lately.

Just some cute pictures from the last couple of days. Jenna wearing her daddy's Tony Hawk hat, and Jenna adorned with her beautiful jewelry. Big smiles, really big smiles. That top one has to be one of Eric's favorite pictures ever.

Our trip to the zoo today was so much fun. We got there at 9:15am and we were gone by 10:45am. I love that time becuase we have the place to ourselves! I seriously got the very front parking spot, and we got a mini-tour from a zoo keeper! Kinda felt like we owned the place :) I highly recomend $2 Tuesday, especially if it is raining and early in the morning!

The animals were being pretty funny this morning. Favorites of the day...the penguins, the sea turtles, and of course the sea lions! Jenna LOVES the zoo. I can see us going again very soon... maybe in a month on the next $2 Tuesday. This was our 5th or 6th visit since Jenna was born. And let's just be honest... I LOVE THE ZOO TOO!

Interviews with my nephews...

I loved Faith's post about the lunchtime interview with her daughter, so I decided to do the same with my sweet nephews. Here is how the conversation went:

Megan: Jackson, what's your favorite color?
Jackson: Blue. February March. I eat my birthday.
Davis: My favorite color is orange.
Jackson: My birthday is orange too.

Megan: What is your favorite animal?
Jackson: Care bear.
Davis: Octopus

Megan: What is your favorite book?
Davis: Power Ranger books. (then whispers to Jackson, 'say spiderman')
Jackson: Spiderman.

Jackson: My birthday is coming in five minutes.
Davis: No it isn't, see, 1...2...3...4...5.

Funny kids. I interviewed Jenna last week and here were a few of her answers:

Mom: What is your favorite color?
Jenna: Purple
Mom: What is your favorite animal?
Jenna: Going to the zoo with Jackson.

So, today we went to the zoo again. Jackson couldn't join us, but Jenna and I had a wonderful time. I will post some pictures as soon as my camera batteries charge. I love $2 Tuesday!

Jenna's Mimi and Poppy are in Africa right serving the Lord by touching and loving and helping those who need it so badly. They are helping with all kinds of things, from fitting people with glasses to giving them shots to feeding the hungry and most of all, sharing the Gospel. Join us as we pray for them! Here is a message from Jenna to Mimi and Poppy...

Here's Jackson and Jenna loving on Weston. Sometimes they can't help but to smother him with love, literally.

Time out

Jenna gave herself and all of her big stuffed animals a time out today. I'm not sure what they all did, but I'm sure they learned their lesson.

(Jenna often gives herself a time out in this tent. I don't know why...I promise I have never put her inside her favorite playhouse for a time out. Kids are so funny.)

Davis was really hungry so I was making all the kids some mac n' cheese. The noodles were cooking and I had to leave the kitchen to help Weston or Jenna or Jackson or someone. Anyways, I heard some noises in the kitchen and called to Davis, "everything okay in there" to which he responded "yes". When I came back in he had a suspicious look on his face. I asked what was going on and he said, "nothing....... and I ate a bite of cheese." I told him that was fine knowing that I had left some slices on the counter, and then I looked at the cheese...
