First days...

Paxton Alan Wood
The first time the girls saw their brother. I wish you could see THEIR face! They were in awe and so excited. It was a sweet moment.
Wowzers, 9 lbs 3 oz! I wasn't surprised, I knew he was going to be a big guy.
This is what he did for the first hour of his life...
he wanted back in the womb :)
Elsie was so thrilled, and did such a good job holding her brother.

Kindergarden flew by. Jenna did such a great job, and grew up in ways I can hardly believe. She has been bringing home so many fun year long projects showing her progress which is amazing to see. I'm so proud to be the mama of a kindergarden graduate!

41 weeks

Hmm, 41 weeks. Doctor appointment showed almost no changes. Paxton is still high and posterior. But, so that I am not pregnant with a toddler, we are going to induce tomorrow. My doctor isn't comfortable pushing me much further than 41 weeks, and so it's time. We head to the hospital tonight at 9pm to start a low dose of pitocin. Then in the morning around 5am they will up the dose and I will start walking and moving. The hope is that the contractions that the pitocin causes will bring Paxton down and turn him the right way.

I am not a fan of either of these pictures but here they are. You can really see in the second one how high this little guy is.

Tonight we went to Red Robin for dinner as our last little outing as a family of four. Tomorrow we meet our little Paxton, and we are all ready and excited! Thanks for your prayers!

Just walking and waiting and praying and pacing. No baby yet, no contractions, nothing.

Still waiting

Yesterday at my appointment we found that Paxton is still high, and he is posterior. I am not dilating or progressing at all. It was a little discouraging, but the news made it very clear that I need to wait and not induce yet. We did set an induction for Wednesday, June 8th, which will be 41 weeks. My doctor doesn't want to go much past that. Plus I am exhausted. So we are praying that he drops, turns, and best case scenario that I would go into labor naturally to help Pax turn on his own and come on down. Ugh, each day gets a little harder but I am hoping in God as I know He will be my strength when I feel so weak and tired. And I am thankful for the sunshine. And I am thankful for friends and family checking in and praying for us. There is always tons to be thankful for.

Some pictures

Mimi needed some fresh pictures of the girls the other night, so Eric took these cute ones. These two girls bring such joy to my heart, and I know Paxton will just add to the joy and fill my heart all the more. It's hard to imagine that God loves me the way I love these kids. Not only that but he loves me MORE than I love my kids. Really puts his affections in perspective.

Friday night movie night. I was doing the dishes while the rest of the family started the movie. The Incredibles, I think. Anyways, this is what I came out to see. They love their daddy, and Linus loves to join the party, silly cat.
And just a quick pic of my garden. I did things simple this year. I didn't grow much from seed, and I put down an all natural weed blocker once everything was planted. Hopefully that will mean an easy veggie garden this summer, since I will be a little more busy than usual.

Come out little Paxton! You missed your due date, but that's okay. We are ready to meet you though!!
