Sharing a room!

It was a crazy project, and super messy. The whole house was in chaos. Clothes everywhere in every room, toys everywhere, bags of too big clothes in the hall, piles of "garage sale" stuff in every room. It was crazy. Furniture out of place, drawers emptied and filled and emptied again. Anyways, all that to say that the girls are sharing a room and we have a guest/play room with an empty closet and dresser for guests.

Jenna's closet and dresser was totally full when I started. It had summer/winter/too big/too small/everything in between in it. Elsie's closet was the same. It was organized, but full. So, a bunch of stuff found a new home in the garage and the kids stuff all fits easily in one closet.

Elsie's side (bins up top are seasonal and too big)

Jenna's side (bins are the same.)
I still need to take out a few more toys.
And the play/guest room!
We would like to get a bigger bed or maybe a murphy bed.
But for now, the stuffed animals live a very comfy life.
And we ended with an empty dresser and 1/2 empty closet. Sometimes I love having such a small house. It allows me to do big projects like this in just a couple days, and it forces me to simplify and get rid of clutter.

Oh, and the girls are LOVING sharing a room. The first time we tried to get them in the same room was one frustrating day after another. This time, Elsie is much more obedient and actually stays in bed long enough to fall asleep. They are having a lot of fun sharing their space, and I hope this continues to strengthen their relationship.

YAYAYAYAY! I am so happy it has worked this time! Such a good feeling to be organized, eh? I am thinking about getting the kids in Peyton's room some day soon and having a play room for all the clutter, we'll see.

Wow you have been busy. It looks great. I can't wait to see you all in Nov. If not sooner.
