Our minor disaster

As some of you have heard, we came home from California to find two fallen trees in our yard. Here are some pictures of the craziness.

This is the cherry tree in the backyard. It is leaning on the house, we are not sure if there is damage to the roof or gutters yet, but we are assuming so. We are thankful that it didn't go through any windows or damage the side of the house.

And this is the front yard before (this picture taken May of 2007 after we put in some new plants and pretty bark dust.) The tree that fell is the huge one in the right corner.

And here is the after photos. The tree fell into the street, so the city workers came and chopped it up and put everything in our front yard. Crazy.

Wow huh.

Do you have a home for the wood yet? If you don't have a wood stove...I know Greg & Andrea do....

Oh. My. Dear!
Was this a massive snow or ice storm or CRAZY wind or something? Hoping and praying that there's no more major damage!

If anyone is interested in some wood, let us know!

I'll be praying that the damage is minimal. Be thankful the one in the front yard didn't hit the house! That is one big tree. Sorry that you lost it-it was pretty.

Wow Megan. I don't know if I'd call that a minor thing! That is crazy. SO glad neither tree caused too much damage...could have been so much worse! What a mess to come home to!
