Surgery

I have been ignoring the date on my calendar, and pretending as though Jenna's surgery wasn't really coming, but it is. And it is on Tuesday. And though it is a very VERY minor surgery, it gets me a little emotional to think about it. She is having surgery on her herniated bellybutton on Tuesday morning. It is very minor surgery. She will be totally out for the entire thing. She is only two so she will not remember this. But still, it gets a mom a little teary. So, all this to say, if you think about us please be praying for Jenna on Tuesday, September 4th around 10am. Thanks friends.

Oh Megan, I TOTALLY understand! The surgeries, the belly buttons, it is NO FUN at all, especially for you the Mommy, with all your hormones askew to begin with. I will be praying for YOU and Jenna and the Dr.s. It can be so scary handing over your little one to the hands of the Dr.'s It was such a lesson for me in trusting God with 'my' little one - HIS little one. Zephaniah 3:17 was my anchor this last go round with Luke in the hospital. The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Love You!!

Hey Meg and Eric and Jenna!
We will of course be praying for you AND her AND the medical team that gets the pleassure of taking care of your daughter and you during this time.I can't say I know the feeling of your child going "under," but from the otherside I know it'll be ok. We do "sedation" all types and depths DAILY with little ones in the ED/ER. For all sorts of things, like hernias, fractured bones, displaced bones/joints, foreign bodies (like pennies or rocks) in the esophagus/trachea. SO, if we do it daily at work, just imagine how many times the surgeons and nurses that work in the Operating Room do it. It is soooo routine for them. I am confident it will go as planned and you'll have your little girl back in just hours from when you started. Where is she having it? Are you going to the Stump's tonight for the game on the plasma?
