Jenna...Urkel?

Jenna and I had a bit of a rough day today. She was pretty sick with something - a fever and really tired eyes. But we did have some good laughs together. Here is a picture of one funny time. Her pants kept falling down and to pull them up, she would stick her elbows out and hike them way up to her ribs. She had me laughing pretty hard. Urkel refrences are pretty funny, especially when it's your two year old daughter.

Babysitting Weston

Today Jenna and I babysat Weston, just Weston, for the morning. It was so fun to see Jenna taking care of him, playing with him, playing by herself (YES!!!!!) when he needed my attention...it was great. And Jenna did such a good job caring for him. She fed him his whole bottle while he layed across her lap, she played with him and entertained him for a good 30 minutes on his butterfly mat, she pushed him in the stroller around the block, and she helped change his diaper. It was so cute to see her with Weston without the other boys to distract. She is a good cousin, and I think she will be a good big sis too.

Bubbles

Still a favorite in Jenna's life, bubbles are a must on a sunny day. And Jenna has much more "bubble stamina", if there is such a thing, than the rest of us.

Goodnight Kitty

This is a longer video. In case you can't figure out what is happening, she is putting her kitty to bed. First she sings "Jesus Loves the Little Children" and then puts her into her crib. She loves to nurture that little cat. We will stick with the stuffed kittys for a while longer...no pets yet. Although the love she has for animals sure does pull at our heart-strings!

Big Girl Bed

Jenna loves her big girl bed. We have been talking it up for quite a while now, and she seems to be happy, in fact thrilled, about it. When she saw it in her room, she got very excited, ran to get her stool, climbed up and began to jump! She was in fact so excited about it that it took her a while to fall asleep. Once she did, she stayed in bed, and didn't fall out - but we will keep the pillows next to her bed for a while just in case.

We are enjoying the twos so far. Jenna is discovering her independence and doing so many things all by herself. It is great to watch her grow up, and nice to have her doing some things on her own! She clears her own plate after lunch and dinner, she goes potty by herself, she puts her empty sippys in the sink (no more finding rotten milk sippys!), and lots of other things. There are some unfortunate things that come - she can open the front door, she can climb out of bed, and she can be quite willful. But all in all, the twos have been good for us. At least the first month of the twos...

Easter

Easter was fun this year. Here are some pictures of the day at my parents house. It didn't take Jenna long to figure out that there were treats inside the eggs! Before I even realized what was happening, she was drooling chocolate on her dress.

Davis and Jackson had a lot of fun too, and look all to relaxed in their new beach chairs! Jenna got one too, and later in the day the kids enjoyed an episode of Veggitales lounging in the chairs.

there was only a light sprinkle when the kids went on their egg hunt! Davis had about 10 eggs, while Jenna was proud of her two. We had to hold the big kids back so that the little ones could find a few more.

Weston found quite a few as you can see here! He slept through most of Easter but enjoyed the day as much as a four month old could.

Here's our happy little family! It was a fun day not only for the kids, but for us adults too! We enjoyed the day with our family, and with the Overcamps, and the McCammons come over in the evening. It was a really fun day with very wonderful people.
